Gloria Anzaldua

I just finished the last semester of my degree and feel as if I was just jumped out of Undergrad. Who knew college was blood in and blood out. But really DO NOT TAKE A CREDIT OVERLOAD IN THE SUMMER. I mean you are an autonomous person and can do what you want, but I can not recommend avoiding that enough. Now someone remind me of this next summer.

Continuing on the theme of feminist scholars I introduce to you, Gloria Anzaldua, a Chicana author most famous for her book Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza.  Gloria's work is about her life experiences and the intersection of race, gender and class.

Gloria blends English, Spanish, queerness, feminism, and racial issues in an eloquent way that I can never hope to.  I will stop talking now. Just go read her books.

The Gloria Anzaldua.

Two jiggers of Tequila--I used Kirkland Brand because only the best for my family.

One jigger of Cointreau--You could use triple sec as well if that is what you have. I mean I am not sure why you would but you could.

Jalapeno Lime Aid--IDK to taste about a cup and a half for two here.

Mix ingredients with ice and shake till your shaker gets all icy

Pour over ice and serve in a salted glass.

Drink well contemplating how complex issues around race and gender are and how we can all do better.
